Infrastucture Case Study 3: Prestatyn Station

The refurbishment of the roof area of Prestatyn Station provided some unique challenges for Attridge.

The work formed part of a wider scheme of refurbishment to the railway station building and platform. However, because the station was to remain open to the public, all the track and platform areas had to be left clear – which meant that all scaffold had to be erected during a single ten-hour possession. Attridge hit their deadline thanks to a 20-man team of scaffolders and the use of HAKI Universal System Scaffold.

The work involved the erection of two 6m x 14m lifts, two 14m x 5m lifts, two 14m x 8m lifts, two 5m spans, two birdcages and a 30m long parapet, all of it completed within the ten-hour window.
