CHALLENGE
The customer needed access to undertake remedial work to a 28 metre wide bridge over a canal. Unfortunately crane support was not possible due to access restrictions.
SOLUTION
Attridge Scaffolding perfected an "erect ahead" method to build the scaffold from a safe platform: Sections of Haki scaffolding were constructed from a support platform and as each section was completed they were then rolled out above the canal. The process was repeated until the completed bridge was safely landed on the opposite support tower.
OUTCOME
A beamed birdcage provided full access to the underside of the bridge.
