CHALLENGE
To create a 296 metre long suspended platform for painting works to the entire length of the bridge. Access to construct the scaffold for the viaduct renovation, which carries the railway mainline over the River Esk estuary, could only be achieved from one side of the river.
SOLUTION
We incorporated a track and trolley system on pulleys for speed, enabling us to supply only 6 operatives throughout the duration of the project. Utilising our Haki erect-ahead methodology for a speedy and safe result.
OUTCOME
Access was provided for renovation work to the entire length of the bridge, while the chosen methodology reduced materials, minimised cost and met tight timescale requirements.
