CHALLENGE
The customer required access to replace rivets on the Victorian bridge (designed by Robert Stephenson) which straddles the Menai Strait.
The construction was required within a tight timescale despite the erection procedure having to contend with strong winds along the Strait and having to accommodate both road and rail traffic.
SOLUTION
Building drop scaffolds during restricted times in various locations along the bridge, using additional labour where necessary, supplying our rescue boat and an operative throughout.
OUTCOME
Platforms erected safely and efficiently during allotted times to allow the customer to carry out their works.
