CHALLENGE
The customer required access to the bridge for grit blasting. With no scaffold built off the ground due to it being a floodplain, and no scaffold to be fixed to the bridge steels.
SOLUTION
Thinking outside the box, our team decided the way forward was fixing shear plates to the bridge supports and span across to give us a stable foundation to build from. We had 10 bridge spans over both floodplain and river sections.
OUTCOME
An impressive, sizeable, encapsulated scaffold structure built within the customers criteria.
